The Ford Falcon XB shown here is part of the first edition of this Hot Wheels model (2010 HW Premiere series).

The upper chassis is made of yellow-painted metal, while the lower part is made of silver-coloured chrome-plated plastic. The passenger compartment is made of black plastic and extends the entire length of the vehicle, forming the front radiator and rear section.

• the black colour, which makes up the stripe on the bonnet, the "GT351" lettering, the side air intake sills and the rear spoiler;
• the white, small lettering "FORD" on the bonnet;

Interesting facts

The Ford Falcon XB (built and assembled in Australia) has had a long-standing and enduring influence on Western popular culture. A legendary vehicle, it came to prominence in cinema thanks to its Pursuit Special version, which starred in George Miller's film Mad Max (1979).

In the film, thanks to the post-apocalyptic setting, the action scenes 'on the road' and the plot, it becomes a symbol of rebellion that, in the decades that followed, continued to inspire generations of fans.

In addition to its cinematic presence, thanks also to its performance (5.8-litre V8 engine with around 300 horsepower), in the 1970s it was a formidable competitor both on the road and on the track, placing itself at the top of the Australian muscle car era.
